Retreats to Advance Career & Organizational Growth
Over the weekend I returned to Western Mass to co-facilitate the Annual Sustainability Careers Retreat for the UMass Amherst Masters in Sustainability Science Program. This year, cohort members were joined by undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students from a range of sustainability-related programs. As we do each fall, we gathered at the lovely Woolman Hill Retreat Center in Deerfield, MA.
Through hands-on activities including the "Who You Are Matters!" conversation experience by OneLifeTools and LEGO® Serious Play®, students reflected, clarified, explored career possibilities.
Some of the students are seeking spring and summer sustainability-related internships in Massachusetts, so if you know of any opportunities, please respond so I can share the info with the retreat participants.
I appreciate how retreats provide a space to intentionally step away from our busy lives to focus on imagining and planning. "I'm feeling clearer," one participant shared partway through the retreat.
